Hello again!
On today's lesson, I'm told to make a design of a watch for my friend! Actually, the whole class was told to do it.
Today was a make-up class for only Creative Thinking.. So, some of us were absent..
Despite the absence, it was fun! We did it at the computer lab, and watching videos & also browsing the internet during the activity.
Here are some the designs my friends made at the class.
Hello again! I just want to share about my current obsession right now - Circlets.
Between the busy days, and piled up homework, I really like to explore new things that I can create, especially jewelry. Haha, why didn't I signed up for Object & Jewelry Course? because jewelry is included in fashion.. sort of..
So yeah, I've been planning to make my own circlet when the assessment week is over. All I need are some stainless wire, solder, a hammer, gemstones and a motivation! Because it's going to be a tough one to make.
Circlets are usually pictured, used by fairies, elves, royal people and other "fantasy" related things. I find these jewelry very one of a kind and unpopular.
That's why I liked it!
Okay! On this blog post, I'm going to tell you about my Fashion Genre.
I love 90s grunge/soft grunge.
Chokers, flannels, distressed jeans, platforms, you name it!
90s fashion are comfortable, bold and often a laid-back look for everyday's outfit and it's the opposite of High-End clothing.. for example, Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton. 90s fashion is all the opposite of that.
Grunge clothing brands that I like the most are UNIF (Ur Not In Fashion), thrift shop items, Lip Service Cult, Buffalo (shoes), Y.R.U (shoes)
and basically everything on www.dollskill.com (my favorite shopping destination)
Today's Creative Thinking lesson is about searching for "Wrong" packagings, taking pictures of it, buy 1 item and try to re-make the packaging.
My group has 3 members, Zi Hui, Wei Jing and me.
We decided to buy a V20 vitamin drink, that has a misleading packaging (it looks more like a hairspray than a vitamin water hahaha)
When we brought it back to class, the teacher told us to list the reasons why the packaging is wrong. We had fun discussing it too!
After we're done listing it.. we are told to exchange the items with other groups and re-make their "wrong packaging" and so we end up re-making a Hello Kitty candy packaging.
Hi! In this blog post I will be talking about my favorite hobby.
Other than the course I'm taking now, which is Fashion Studies.. I love to dance since I was little.
By the time I reached the age of 13, I began to realize that I love to dance with Hip Hop and R&B music, then I decided to join extra classes on dance that my school provided.
I began to participate in various competitions...
Although I never actually won, the most important thing I got from dancing is to smile, expressing freely and having new friends!
During my free time, I like to watch dance videos on youtube recently, because I never had the chance to dance when I'm in Singapore. This made me really sad and depressed at times.
Here are my dance inspirations...
Taylor Hatala (11 Years Old)
Dana Alexa & Matt Steffanina
Chachi Gonzales
Ian Eastwood
Lexee Smith (12 Years Old)
Here are some of the video clips I have recently been watching. This is Taylor Hatala (11) with her dance teacher, dancing to Anaconda - Nicki Minaj. Because of this video, they have been invited to the Ellen Show
Hi! Today I'm going to be talking about my 3D assignment, which is about templates and repetitions.
I'm using old CDs, a wood as a base and titanium scissors to cut it.
This
3D sculpture is made of pieces of broken CDs (recycled) with a black painted
wood base. This artwork is inspired by how people think, people’s imagination
to be exact and that is why it looks like an abstract half-headed person. The
CD’s colour is iridescent, which is somehow similar to people’s mind because
imagine wild and unrealistic dreams and basically good things that reflect on
our daily life. Similar like the spectrums of light projected by the CDs.
Iridescent.
Here are the pictures I took step by step, on the making...
